The Husqvarna T542i XP® Without Battery and Charger is a professional top-handle cordless chainsaw designed for arborists who need maximum cutting performance, responsiveness, and control when working at height. As the world’s first top-handle battery chainsaw with a centrifugal clutch, it delivers a uniquely “petrol-like” feel while maintaining all the benefits of battery power. This skin-only version excludes battery and charger, making it ideal for users already operating within Husqvarna’s 36V BLi-X platform.

Powered by a high-output brushless motor, the T542i XP® produces 1.8 kW of power and reaches an exceptionally high chain speed of up to 24 m/s, giving it fast, precise cutting performance in demanding arborist work. Paired with a 12–14 inch bar and SP21G chain, it’s built for efficient pruning, dismantling, and technical cutting in confined canopy environments.

A key feature is its integrated centrifugal clutch, which improves control and responsiveness under load, helping the saw behave more like a lightweight petrol top-handle while still benefiting from instant electric torque. This makes it especially effective for professionals who rely on consistent performance during complex tree work.

Designed for real-world climbing conditions, the T542i XP® includes a weather-resistant IPX4-rated construction for use in wet environments, a compact and balanced top-handle design for improved manoeuvrability, and an intuitive keypad for quick status checks and operation while working in the tree.

Additional professional features include savE™ mode for extended runtime during lighter cuts, an inertia-activated chain brake for enhanced safety, automatic shutdown to conserve battery life, and a low-weight design (around 2.9 kg excluding battery and cutting equipment) to reduce fatigue during extended climbing work.
